Day 24 – Last Day in Croatia

This morning we introduced Sandra to the best coffee place in town (in fact all of Croatia) – then headed off to enjoy breakfast on the promenade for the last time.

From there it was a final look see around the beautiful city of Split. Neil and Karla walked up the Marjan hill - the photo shows the awesome view. We stopped for a quick drink – then we caught the bus to the airport. We managed some limited duty free shopping – in a lovely small (Dunedin size) and tidy airport. The flight to Rome was short – only 45 minutes – and they still managed to serve us a wine and a snack. Air NZ take note! Shame that Rome airport takes ages to deliver your bags (way more than our flight time…).

We easily found our way to our accommodation in Rome and checked in before heading out for a bit of a walk around. We found the Coloseum then went back to our place for a late night drink before heading to bed.

There you go again, Karla and Neil - leaving poor Sandra alone once more! Fabulous view though, so the climb was worthwhile.
