Day 15 – To Sibenik

This is what we came for!!! We gladly left Zagreb behind this morning and had a 5 hour bus trip to Sibenik. The views coming into the town were stunning. The first photo is a view from the bus as we wound our way into Sibenik. Our host picked us up from the bus station – which is barely a stone’s throw from the apartment. The apartment has lovely views over the water and over the old town. It also has separate bedrooms with beds that appear to be able to be used for sleeping… We quickly set our gear down and wandered through the old town.

This place is beautiful. It certainly is a hidden treasure – with magnificent medieval streets, plenty of churches and a lovely seaside feel about it.

We included a photo of a typical church and street in the old town (Crkva Sv.Krsevana). We enjoyed some light nibbles, vina and pivo on our balcony before heading out for dinner.

Hi everone
Playing golf yesterday I was telling Robbie how much you were enjoying Zagreb. He shares your same opinion of Zagreb. He said wait tell you get to the coastal townships thats where you will start to enjoy the region.
All the best MACCA

Hi Guys!
Sounds like you're enjoying Sibenik alot better. Just had a great weekend up the mountain... and watched the end of Bathurst... We've had a beautiful weekend of weather. The view of Egmont from Ruapehu on Sunday was awesome... shame I didn't have my camera. I did manage to loose my cellphone while skiing, so phoneless and numberless now.
Take Care, Dee

Hello all. Beautiful photos of a beautiful area – I was sure it would improve. And, the fine weather is following you. It doesn’t seem like you are about half way through your holiday already.
Forgot to tell you the Evers-Swindell twins announced their retirement last week.
We had a fantastic warm weekend – hopefully summer’s on its way.
